Default Stumped.......need some answers plz

Ok everyone with a 4th gen camaro should know about this, on the bottom of one of the front fenders behind the wheels why is it always not even with the door or "kicked out", is it just a factory defect on them? Some camaros are worse than others and some may not even have it but i was just wondering what caused it and if theres a way to push it in. Hope this isnt confusing.

That is caused when some dumba$$ mechanic doesnt know where to lift a f-body up at on a lift. Mine were not that bad but all i did is where that part of the fender meets underneath the car. I used some vise grips and bent it back down. When you do that is will pull the bottom part of the fender in to where it is suppose to be. Not hard at all.
peace rob
P.S.- the seam where they meet under the car when fixed should perpendicular to the ground, right now since the fender is bowed out it will most likely be flat against the bottom of the car.

My 97 SS had the same problem. I got under the car and looked at it and it was perpindicular with the ground. It was only a slight bulge, but it did kinda worry me.

i unbolted the fender from there
then took some channel locks and bent it back
then bolted the fender back up
simple task

the metal is very flimsy though, so a pair of sheet metal pliers (very wide clamping area) would be best, but not nessisarily needed.

That's quite noticable on the Camaros. For some reason, the 'birds don't show it as bad. GM should have put stickers underneath our cars pointing to the jacking points.

I had a similar thing happen but it wasnt because of some idiot jacking it wrong. Either I or the previous owner popped up on a curb or something and when the car came back down it cracked and bent the connection point for the fender. (I have know idea when this happened) Just bent it back in to place as best as I could. The only surefire fix is to replace the fenders, or so I was told be the guys at the bodyshop.

I just put a 2x4 on the joint and beat it back in place with a hammer.
