I stopped using my water blade. There are just way to many scrates in my paint(not 100% sure if it's from the water blader or not). There all real fine scratches. I used to wash the blade and get it wet before i used it on the car and then wiped it with my hand after every pass to catch any dirt that it may have picked up. I now just use a leaf blower and it works great and i have not noticed any more sctaches since if started using it.

Used one on my black TA for a couple of years now without a problem. Store it in a covered place where it stays clean. Keep car waxed. Follow the blade with a soft towel. Works great.

Hose with no nozzle, followed up by leaf blower, and a quick wipe down with MF towel for me. Used the waterblade for a while but I like the other way better now. If you've got an air compressor with a moisture trap though, that works even better than the leaf blower.

Leaf blower is the only thing I ever dry my car with. Towels streak and scratch no matter how high quality they are. Friction = scratching. I never have water spots and if you keep your car waxed the water will roll right off. It also helps to push water out of areas that the towel can't reach.

I'd have to have trees to warrant owing a leaf blower.

Water Blade is great, especially for the glass and during hot, sunny days. I don't care what kind of water flow you use, if it's hot and sunny enough, water spots happen almost instantly. On those days, I keep the Water Blade in one hand while I'm rinsing with the other and don't even let the water sit on the car. Of course, if you don't have a good coat of wax on your car, you can scratch it with just about anything you wipe across the paint.

You sure man? I use it on my car every time I wash it, I have a black TA, and, well, i mean, take a look at the pics, they speak for themselves. No scratches.

I never buy into any of this new, high tech ****. Just stick with what has been working for years....I use nothing but a 100% natural chamios. May take a while, but it always works, NEVER scratches if used properly, and it's been proven for years. A leaf blower?!? come on.....I don't use them on the leaves, I'm not going to drag it out every time I wash my car. I have a black TA and a black truck. The natural chamios and good coats of meguiars cleaner wax always leaves a streak-free shine.

Takes me about 10 minutes to dry the whole car "after I drag it out" and then you don't have water coming out of every nook and cranny when you start driving, (also the lugnut holes on the wheels) if it wasn't black it wouldn't be so bad but I want to rub on it as least as possible.

Would you let someone paint your car out side?

After you wash your car there is still trash all over it, just because its too small to see doesnt mean its not there. After one or even a few times using the blade you may not see anything but over time you will. If you have a light collored or metallic collored car you might not notice anything for quite a while but scratches are there. I do not recomend using the blade on a NBM or black car at all, if you dont see any scrathes on one of these collored cars then you need glasses or your paint is allready in bad shape.

Another tip, dont use fabric softener with any towl that you use to polish/wax your car with. The fabric softener is abrasive and will not help make the towls softer like you would think. I personally like a sinthetic chamois, they dont grab the paint like the real chamois and they absorb better after you break them in.

ANYTHING you use on your car is gonna scratch the paint if there's dust, dirt, pollen, etc on it. Not much you can do. I've used the blade on my black Xtreme when I had that and on my black SS. I see a few minor swirls but that's mostly from using cotton towels with the detail spray before I bought the microfiber towels.
