double checked the bulb number it is a 3057 thats what im using.

the 1156 is a different plug. how is the 3057 going to be a direct swap? this is the backup lights im talking about, not the tail light/brake light

Thats what I was going to say. The 1156 bulbs are not for our cars, they wont fit. Must be 3155 series.

of course they are for our car. look at the catalog from sylvania above. its for the backup lights.
