"Happy Holidays." It's a hypocritical debate no matter which side you're on, if two words offend you one way or the other, then get over it because 1, it's just words, and 2, the MEANING behind the words of wishing people happiness with their family and loved ones is what should be taken into consideration. Personally, I'm Atheist. I still celebrate the non-religious side of Christmas. At the same time, I understand where the other religions are coming from -- granted this country was founded by Christians, but we do have a lot of other religions in this country too. I think the Jewish holidays, Muslim holidays, and other religious holidays for other religions should be regarded just as highly as Christian holidays. And that's coming from an Atheist.
But, it's definitely pathetic the level of lawsuits being thrown around everywhere. Then you wonder why our health care prices are so jacked up. Everyone suing eachother for stupid crap causes the health insurance companies to shell out more and more money, and in turn jack up the prices on health insurance. Go figure. p.s.: I think the holiday season is only a marketing tool now… Most “Christians” don’t even realize the true meaning behind Christmas anymore. And people who think they need to ban the manger scene or sue for hearing the phrase “ Merry Christmas” need to find something better to do with their time. Well there’s my $.02…

To stay on topic, I hope you're going to enjoy your early Christmas vacation...

You guys want to bash me? Thats fine. Guess what...light up my PM box. Thats why its there. Especially if you're like this moron.
but its no laughing matter. Its not just Jews you're upsetting. There's athiests, muslims, buddhists etc that feel they dont want someone else's beliefs in their face where ever they go. wow of all the things i have heard. I guess the birth of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is non-religious. LOL. i guess your just talking about the Christmas that the world decided to make.
Seriously people, doesn't the world have enough problems as it is? Personally I wouldn't get offended if someone wished me a Happy Hanakah(forgive me if it's spelt wrong) or a Happy Kwanza, thats their religion and beliefs and I respect that, after all I know that their just wishing me a safe and happy holiday season and i'm not gonna fly off the handle and get pissed because I celebrate Christmas and not their religion. Thats what freedom of speech means and people have the right to say what they want. So lets all just get along and have a SAFE AND HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON WHATEVER YOUR RELIGION MAY BE!!!!
