Default Clear front corner assemblies??

I found some listings on EBAY for some clear front marker lights. I ordered some and installed on my 99 z28 and had no issues; loved em. However, I put clear fronts on my 96 Cobra and 6mo later they were all fogged up and looked terrible...

anyone have any experience with clear front markers on a c5??

My Ebay clears I just bought some marine grade silicone and sealed the edges before installing. NO problems with fogging. This is on a Camaro, not a Vette.

you can drill a small hole in the housing to let the water drain out...had to do this with my parking lights because they kept fogging up and burning out the bulbs...since then, no problems at all

hmm...I like the silicone idea over drilling a hole cause to me that sounds like it would just let more water in...

Actually most lenses have a "breather" hole already in them. They either have a plastic vent plug or a cloth type sticker over the hole to allow the lense to "breathe" and allow moisture to evaporate. If the hole is on the bottom at the low point it shouldn't allow any water to stay in the lense. The heat of the bulb will generally evaporate the water. I just sealed my lenses because the edges looked kind of iffy to me and figured I'd rather do it once before installing then pulling them and trying to dry them out and sealing them and putting them back. I had problems with some cheap H4 conversion lights on a 91 Blazer and had to pull it apart and reseal it.
