Exclamation Need Help Wiring LEDs

OK people I'm looking to add a little light to my interior I recently seen a guy add L.E.D.'s to his head liner to add more light ,color and depth to his interior and they came out pretty good! So I was looking to do the same.. My only problem is my I'm no electrician! And need a little help with resistors and wiring.. So here is my idea ( picture below) can some one please draw me up something similar to show how I should wire it , what fuses to work with and where should I get the power from.....? I purchased another headliner to kind of play around with and determine how I plan to add the holes to the fabric with out causing the headliner to peal or become damaged. . .

Werd, stealin my mod. Here's an old pic of mine, i'm fiberglassing my headliner and redoing the LEDs... as far as I know there's only one other guy that's done it, and he asked me how to do it haha.

Here's my walkthrough.

For the wiring of the LEDs, it should be pretty easy as you have a set of wires running to your cargo light that you can tap into for powering the LEDs, that's what I did. Your cargo light comes on when the doors are open [courtesy lights] and when you turn the interior lights on, so in turn the LEDs will come on then too. If you want to power the red LEDs seperately, you'll have to tap into a seperate power source, which won't be as easy just because of all the running of wires you'll have to do. Personally, I normally tap in from the back of the 12v accessory/cig lighter in the center console... but that's only for stuff right there around the console. In either case, whether you run it from the battery or from tapping in from some other source, you'd have to run it all the way up the a-pillar to the headliner. Truthfully, having 9 LEDs on each side, you'd be lit bright enough that you wouldn't even need the white LEDs at all. With the 5 that I had, it lit up quite a bit.

Your radar detector you can run a wire tucked between the headliner and the windshield, run it down your driver side A-pillar to the fuse panel. Connect a positive wire to the fuse that powers your radio, and connect the ground to one of the ground locations under the dash. That way, the radar detector will be on when the car is on, or when you're in accessory mode.

No problem, man. Let me know how it goes -- you'll have to come out to my website's 2nd Annual Season Opening Get Together and show me how it turns out. Right now it looks like it'll be around May 15th. Anyone with an fbody is invited to come.
