Avanti...there is a guy that drives one around where I live. Sounds mean as hell, but looks like it just has a Mustang engine stuffed in an ugly body from this website:

Believe it or not, that actually an Avanti body on a FBody chassis and it did have an LS1 engine in recent model years. I actually installed a set of custom fuel rail covers for a local guy close to Baltimore who had one. Not exactly my taste but it is definitely unique. Plus it looks much better in the bright red that he had.

Apparently they have started using a 4.6L SOHC V8 for their new cars.

I don't see a price listed on their site but I believe the guy told me he paid around $50K for his.

Hmmmmmmmm...makes me wonder what the dude has under his hood. It isn't in all that great of shape, but sounds really mean. Perhaps I'll stroll by and see if I can catch him.
