Do you have a buffer? I think Z-PC was made to be used with a buffer.
And yes, Z-PC will remove light scratches, swirls, etc.

so do you need to use everything in the kit all at one time? sounds like i might need to take a day off to do the job. what will get rid of minor swirls/scratch?

Let's clear a couple of things up...

Proper prep work should be done when using any product line. Washing, claying, polishing, etc. is NOT specific to Zaino products. It's just part of detailing.

The only part of the Zaino process that is different is mixing 4 drops of ZFX with the sealant and shaking for 30 seconds...it adds 1 minute to the whole detail time, and this only *has* to be done 1-2 times a year.

Zaino has a full line of products (ie. soap, QD, polish, etc.). They have 15 products total. Have you ever looked at Meguiar's line-up? 80+ products; many with identical purposes. IMO, it's hard to say Zaino has too many products or is confusing.

With proper prep work, anything is going to look great. Use whatever product meets your needs for ease of use, durability, maintainability, appearance, etc.

SSilverSSurfer - To remove swirl marks, you need an abrasive paint polish. If you're using Zaino, that product would be Z-PC Fusion.

Like Zane said, an abrasive polish and a good polisher will get rid of those. Let me know if you want some help with that, since you're not far from me.

On my car I dont have but maybe a couple scratches (it's in excellent shape for a 1997 car) and it seems like most of the swirl marks are on the hood/front clip. Do you think I should just go ahead and use the ZPC on the whole car? On the website it says to try and use the Z-5 first, but I want my car to look top notch. My only concern is how abrasive is the ZPC, I dont really have experience using an abrasive, and I just want to make sure I'm not going to rub off some clear coat or anything, BTW, i will be doing it by hand.

ZPC is a relatively mild product. It's really not anything to worry about.

It probably wouldn't hurt to use it on the whole car...give you a completely fresh/prepped surface to work with.

Just work slowly and don't move to the next step until you're satisfied with the finish. It takes very little product.
