Legal in this state is 35%, mine is at 20%.

I think it's just right... I think while darker tints might look nice from the outside, driving at night with tint that dark is a real PITA.

I have 15% and its tough parking at night unless you roll the windows down. I couldnt imagine 5% haha. I should have done 5% in the rear and 15% on the side windows but 15% still looks cool.

I don't have a problem with 5%. Backing out of my driveway was difficult at first, but now that I've learned where it ends and the street begins, I don't need to see behind me. In normal night driving, it's not a problem. I used to always have 20% all around on my cars and only occasionally wish it were darker. Now that I have darker tint, I can't imagine ever going lighter. I would tint the front windshield too if it weren't for those pesky state stickers.

Oh yeah with all the Xenons running around here I wish I could tint the windshield. But about the back, mine's tinted too, but I hope there aren't many kids on bicycles riding around since you don't look when you back up. Eek.

I just had mine redone to a 20% all the way around with a 5% strip in the front. That and adding the t-top shades made a world of difference. It's like night and day.

I had 35% all the way around before with no shades, and I can tell you that anything less than 20% is a waste of time and money.

In Alabama, 35% is the legal limit all the way around, but I know of nobody locally that has gotten a ticket with 20 or above.

I have 5% all the way around, I sometimes have to roll the window down at night. It's worth it imo though. People can't see in and stuff.

you know the funny thing is that i have a friend that has a doctors slip that says he needs shade because of his eye sight, which is completely bullshit because he doesnt have eye problems. So he ended up tinting the whole car 5%, and for the windshield he had 5% but he told me it was to dark, so he took it down for 20%. Ya i was suprised when i was driving in his car, you feel completely isolatied

Here In cali you're basically restricted so bad that you almost cant do **** to your car without it somehow being illegally. But I'm not one to abide the law anyhow. SO I went with 5% all around

POS: I love how you could just roll around and know no one knows what you're doing. You could be lookin at some breezie next to you, or flicking off your homies. Whichever. Also, since most of us are lowered, when trucks or SUVs are behind you the lights no longer blind you in the rearview. Its great. During the summer, its a lifesaver when you arent using AC and just crack the windows too keep cool.

Neg. I've been one of the unlucky ones to be caught for windows. I actually made a post recently about how dicked I got for bull ****. Anyhow, yeah it is just a fix it, but it means to fix you rip it. I do not feel like ripping off my tints ( I'll never drive a car without tints now =) ) So the challenge is, how to get that ticket signed off.

Hope you find out what you want. If you want my opinion, the darker the better. I mean if you're going to do something wrong, do it right. Haha know what I mean? but yeah. Tint is good.
