Exclamation Help getting out climate control light bulbs

Does anyone know how to get the lights for the climate controls out of their holders? I'm afraid I'm going to break the bulb. And what kind of lights are they? I've never seen any this size before. Thanks.

#74's just get a paper towel and put 1 layer of it between a pair of pliers and the bulb and pull, it should come right out

LOL.. For future references, good-freakin'-luck. I've broken nearly every god damn #74 bulb in my car. I just spliced into the power/ground and ran my own LEDs instead.

They make rubber covers that go over the ends of pliers - I think I got mine at Sears. That way you don't have metal-to-glass contact, and the rubber gives you enough grip that you don't have to squeeze very hard to be able to pull the bulb out.

I broke lots of them before I tried this method, and haven't had any problems since.
