THey only belong on drag cars that need them IMHO.

No the hood fit GREAT, and the quality is second to none. If you have any other questions. If you have any other questions PM "vfntech" and tell them ProjectCamaro sent you.

I used to like the Glasstek/VFN 4" Cowl hoods on the 4th gens...But over the last couple of years, I've started to find them less desirable and now after seeing the Harwood/Mike Moran cowl hoods, I'm sold...I personally didn't like ANY of the 4th gen hoods for the '98-'02's until these Harwood/Mike Moran versions came out...My only concern with them is fitment, but I'm still going to get one and hope for the best.

-Mike

P.S. My all-time favorite hood for the 4th gens is the SS-style version that came factory on the '96-'97 SS's. Those hoods look excellent IMO and I will definitely have one on my next LT1.

I can see it if you were adding a big block with highrisers, but for the stock LT1 or LS1 through 7 it don't make sense to get a huge cowl hood.

The hands down best looking hoods for the 98-02 camaro (ss aside) are the Sonoco cowl and Harwood wide 3" (shown on that black Z.) And well, even though I'm not a huge fan of the more tradional looking cowls on the late camaros, the one from Glasstek was designed perfectly to pull it off.

Sting ray hoods horrible...
The Sonoco's alright, but it needs a lot of motor to back that bad *** up.
Reg. 3 or 4 inch cowls don't usually look right, they are harsh lines on a sleek car, but sometimes, people can really pull them off, IDK if its just the camera angles or what, as I ahve never seen any of them IRL, but that one girl on here with the red camaro with flames, that cars beautiful, and the red drag car posted a few posts above is great.

My vote is
93-97 SS hood
98-02 WIDE smooth cowl ( on that black camaro )

4" looks way too odd for a FI car. I like mine, which was made before Harwood ever thought of making one...
