help with paint Hey guys im looking to get a new hood soon and am gonna need it painted soon after i get it. I cant decide on if i should just paint the hood or go all out and get my whole car painted. ive got the old burgundy color on my 94Z and im not entirely happy with the color. can anyone tell me if all the horror stories about macco are true cause i dont have 4 to 5 grand to put down on a paint job. Also im located in Virgina beach so if any locals know of some good paint shops for low $ let me know.

Unless you go crazy with flames and really intricate work you should be able to cut that price at least in half no matter what color you pick.
My brother's pearl white re-paint over his pewter TA only cost like 1400 bucks and there were seven layers of pearl sprayed alone. Several years back he did a bright silver metallic repaint on my old black 94 TA for less than a grand, but that's a factory color.
I guess prices for good work vary from place to place though. We all use the same body man all the time, so we may have the "relationship" type price, but we aren't his kids or anything
He does a great job, just ask people around your area for good prices and bodymen.
