Hey do what you want to set yourself apart from the herd. At least its pretty original.

Personally, I don't care much for the made-up sounding emblems. To me, it seems like people are coming up with all this just to avoid being called a poser and gay by a couple of the site admins.

Even Non-fbody/car people would probably just assume these (Z28R/Z29R) are fake because they have an unfamiliar sounding name. The same people on here that say SS emblems are posing would still say you were posing with made up emblems, even if they were your original idea.

There are alot of SS and WS6 clones that you can't tell for sure without looking at the option codes. I mean only some hardcore dude that is looking to put you down is going to be looking at the RPO codes on your door jams.

You can't please everyone, but you can please yourself. Badges are just for looks, so pick one you like and to hell with everyone else.

If you like it I say go for it. Cant please everyone and no matter what you do there will always be some that like it and some that dont so in the end you have to go with your gut and do whatever it takes to obtain the look youre going for.

You know… I've always liked the Ferrari logo. I wonder what a "Prancing Horse" would look like on an F-Body?

Why bother badging your car at all? Badges are HIGHLY overrated, IMO. A clean cut, no badge look is beauty to me.

jvillescamaroz28, sorry to see people trashed you so much. If you want a respectful reply please read.

First of all are you talking about doing a Z29R badge (like Mecham did):

a ZR28 like LG Motorsports did (decal is on the side of the car):

or coming up with your own new version a Z28R??

I say if you have Mecham stuff, throw on a Z29R badge...

If you have LG Motorsports stuff, throw on a ZR28 badge...

If you want to just make your car bad *** on your own and call it a Z28R then why the hell not?

They made a Dick Harrell car, a Berger Car, a HotRod car, etc... Why can't you make your own?

As long as you get a really cool custom badge/emblem designed for it (by Dragon off the board here, someone else, yourself, whatever) and don't just stick an "R" from AutoZone behind your stock badge I say go for it!

I personally just went with 1974 style Z28 emblems but I am trying to make my car look like it coulda shoulda been factory:

What happened to the days where just owning a Z28 was good enough? I'm damn proud to own mine, thus the heritage badging. Back in the day (even before my day) the Z28 was highly sought after, now we are wanting to turn our sweet Z's into "one offs" that anyone else can have.

Z28 is good enough for me, and should be plenty good for anyone.

Do whatever YOU want. At the end of the day, your the one looking at your car, so dont worry about what other people think. Personally, i would'nt do it, but if everyone else decides what goes on your car, then you would have what everyone else has, and that's what is lame to me.
