Berger Panel on Black SS *Help*

Can someone tell me if the berger panel is supposed to be flat black or gloss black. If painted flat black, does it need to be cleared??

Also any pics of Black Camaros with this panel installed??

I don't think its real common on black Camaro's because...um...they're already black. No point in making the one panel a different shade.

Black camaros are too cool for the berger mod. Other colored cars do it because they wish they'd been painted black.

The Intimidator Camaros were black, but had a flat black panel on them.

If you do it, do it in a flat/matte black with no gloss on it. Then do some stainless steel fill-ins to make the color stand out a bit.

All Bergers have the flat black tail panel. They either use single stage flat black or you can clear over normal black with a flatner added to the clear. I've heard the Bergers just use SEM flat trim black for the tail panels. There weren't many black Bergers made. I know of one with red stripes but can't remember what the tail panel looks like. I live near Berger so I've seen a lot of their cars.

Don't do it... Once single flat black panel on an gloss black car will look like trash. It will look like you're too cheap to paint it to match.

IF done right it looks badass. Ever seen a black AAR Cuda? There was one that went through Barrett Jackson and it was black with flat black AAR decals from the factory. It looked pretty badass with the gloss black paint and flat black stripes. I'm actually thinking of putting a 35th LE flat black scoop insert on my car. Don't think I'd do the Berger mod but who knows...I may change my mind.

dont paint it flat black, paint it MATTE, there is a difference

if you filled in where it says "camaro" or used stainless or red inserts it would look good
