Default What kind of direct replacement foglight bulbs is everyone using?

Since the search still doesn't work for me, I have to resort to making a post about a mundane question like this.

Which foglight bulbs should I stay away from (due to excessive heat and other complications), and which ones give the nicest look and work without any problems?

Thanks for the help, god knows I need it, anyone that watched me install my halos and sidemarker clears knows that

I use to use the Sylvania Silverstar bulb($20 each, but a lot better light than stock bulb). They kept blowing, along with any bulb I used so I replaced the whole foglight assembly.

Blowing...hm....how long would they last?

And this is for a Z28, just to clarify. Did you have any heat problems with anything melting?

Do they make Silverstars for the Camaro?

Because so far, every person that had Silverstar fogs had a Trans Am.

LS1 Terror,

Did you have any problems with those eurdezins thingies causing too much heat or burning up prematurely?

Thanks!

My bad I wasnt paying attention to your avatar, I have a WS6. Sorry about that. I am not sure if they make silverstar for the Camaro. They would go out every couple of months and I just got tired of it. The stockers did the same thing as well.

Well, I bought the 893ST Silverstars, since I saw on a Camaro parts website that that is what they recommend, but I just noticed when I took the stocker out that it is L shaped while the Silverstars aren't. I don't want to rip the package open and try to stick them in just to find out they aren't compatible. The Silverstars are a straight pointing design vs the stock L shaped.

Hmmm...what to do...

This Eurodezigns stuff you can only get off Ebay?

The silver star 893 will fit in. The only thing you will not have is that you will not feel the base of the bulb click like the 894 when it is seated. It will be a snug fit. I have done this and it worked just fine.

Ok, I just put those babies in there....not much of a difference if you ask me. Considering that Sylvania lists their light color is 4000k, just as the silverstar headlights, there is still a very noticeable color difference. Hell as far as I am concerned they look just like the stockers.

Not sure where my 43 dollars went!!

Don't buy them!

Actually...I just took a closer look and took a picture for comparison.....

Before: Silverstar headlights, stock fogs

After:

Quite the difference acutally. I have been told that the bumper color reflects on the garage door from the fogs, after all my car is red.

What do you think?
