Default Firehawk bumper mod

How much needs to be trimmed on the bumper when a Firehawk hood is installed? Also, what's the best way to trim the bumper without chipping the paint?

Thanks!

Start searching out different photos of the two diffferent cars. Basically just have to even out the line across the front & eliminate the area that flows in at the scoop area.

Die-grinder with a cut-off wheel might work.
I doubt you'll be able to do it & not have to paint it.

The Firehawk hood also sticks up a bit higher right in the front-center. That's why they use the small Firehawk emblem to blend it in.

If you've already bought the hood, then you'll need to trim. If you haven't bought one yet, ..., Then you should consider the Suncoast Creations 'Raptor' hood which is basically the same thing without the cutting required. It fits the stock front fascia/bumper.

Good Luck

Thanks, yes I got a good deal on an original hawk hood, so cutting is in the future.

I was just looking for some tips, I figured it had been done many times already.
