Has anyone thought about putting led's in their tail lights? I not just talkin about those crappy led bulb you can get at autozone. I mean cover almost the whole tail light in led's. I think it would be cool if you could make where there was a led on each of the litte honeycombs on the tail light.

I thought about that some time ago....but I didnt get beyond the planning stage.

There is a good alternative to the AutoZone and PepBoys LED units.

Its nicknamed the "tower":

I was thinking more about making my own with lexan or something and making it fit under the lens of the tail lights somehow and just put seperate led lights on each honey comb. My brother is doing it with his mustang but they have square tail lights. What does everyone think?

There is some new product out called spider light. I think that would be a much cheaper alternative. I dont know a site or anything. You should try googleing it.

Its a guys here in GA that does this. He can put over 300 LEDs on board in any pattern you like. He does awesome work. I thought about doing it. I think its some pics of this on here some where..
