I keep my engine bay so clean by only driving the car <5000 miles/year. Only take it out on the weekends and never has it been in the rain. Also helps me to get that all important 'Emmission Exempt' sticker so I can mod away without worries with 'big brother'. I also clean everything in the engine bay after I get home every time.
The power steering resevoir is not a cover, but the actual reservoir chrome plated. The guy that does all my show chrome can also chrome plastic very well. In fact, my FAST90 intake is out being chromed as we speak!
The fuel rail covers were made custom for me by a member of LS1Tech some time ago. Actaully, in the new setup they are not going to be used as I got a set of the Jegs Billet Aluminum Coil Covers, had the 'Jegs' logo milled off, sent them out to be chromed, painted down inside the fins red, and attached a SS Trans Am emblem in the milled ouit area that used to house the Jegs logo.
All of my red silicon hoses are from Hose Techniques, the stainless T-bolt clamps are from Jegs and were chromed. All the brackets that you see chrome were removed and chromed individually. The aluminum PS Pulley is from Turn-One and was chromed. My LS6 intake was sanded down by hand by myself personally, and then painted/cleared in Sebring Silver. All the caps were originally polished Mallory Billet Aluminum pieces that I had chromed and then attached custom decals that match exactly the original logos, but look as if they are etched.
I have a set of the underhood fasteners on order from Hillco with chrome bolts and red washers - so they are still in business. They will replace all the stock bolts that I already took the trouble to have chromed. The battery cover in the pic is the old style - I now have one in mirrored/etched lexan from Spinner Premium Designs that matches the size of my Optima battery and same design as underhood mirrors.
My new AFR heads & NW90 TB are also out being polished and the Katech Belt tensioner is out being chromed along with some of the A/C parts.
The list goes on & on...

I checked out Hilco and came up with this:
LS1-CH-1
LS1 BEAUTY KIT CHROME W/ALUMINUM BEAUTY WASHERS
Is this the kit you bought? The pic is very small, you can't make anything out.
Here's my work in progress:

I used the Hillco kit you listed...it's a very nice setup with high quality fasteners and they're individually wrapped by kit (example: hood strut kit, power steering kit, etc.).
As for chroming, 1QUIKWS6 uses a local shop here in the Pittsburgh area called M&P Metal Refinishing...they do very nice work. I had them chrome my dipstick tube and throttle cable bracket...

Billiumss- as LawmanSS stated, I use M&P Refinishing in Jeanette, PA for all the chrome on all my cars. He only does show chrome and actually uses a 5-step process with polishing in between each step.
He also chromes plastic very well - among other plastic parts such as dipstick handle, A/C Line Plugs, etc. he did my stock PS reservoir. My FAST90 Intake is out right now being chromed
And yes, that is the HIllco kit I purchased. You're already well on the way to having an excellent looking engine bay. I see you did the !wire mod - I need to do it also - never seem to have the time. Now that the car is in the garage for the Winter I can't easily get to that side to do the work
LawmanSS - good to hear you had him do some work for you - I never heard back whether you finally made it down there or not. Did he cut you any better price cause I referred you - or charge you double?

Cool! That is the first completely untouched/un-modded/stock engine bay that I have seen in a long time!
I almost forgot what it looked like originally
LawmanSS - just wait till you see my FAST90 Intake chrome plated - had to do ya one better!

618Hawk-
I can remember way back when you first posted the pics of the airbox as it was going thru the stages and had a description of how you were planning on plumbing your system. Good to see that it turned out excellent!
You should have no problem with flow after using those 'sewer pipe' hoses.
If I ever go FI - I'll have to try and talk you into making me one of those boxes...
BTW, you should post the 'before' pics of the box again just to let people see how it progressed.
