Default Relocating hood latch cable

I remember reading on here a while back that you can relocate the hood latch cable for a cleaner engine bay. Any one know how to do this?

I did it.

The cable is very easy to diconnect from the latch mechanism, them just feed back to the fire wall. It is awkward to work with, so be careful. Then just under the DS hood hinge there is a small seam/hole. I enlarged that hole and fed the cable through there, back to the latch. Similar to the wire mod, you need to take out the wheel well liner to guide the cable through.

Rattle can paint . . . Use the Dupli - Color 500* Engine Enamel & Clear. I sanded the worst of the roughness and casting marks too.

When I re-routed mine, I just went around the bottom side of the wheel well inside the engine bay. You can't see it and don't have deal with going under like the wire mod

Looks like the hose that goes to the AIR pump (the thing that makes the high pitched whine..."kind of an electronic noise"....when you first start the car).

You didn't do this with the wire mod also did you?

I think this route may work better for black cars but any other color, the black cable may stick out like a sore thumb.
