Oil Pan & Powder coating?
I'd like to do something to my oil pan before it's bolted on the LS6.
Will normal powder coating stand up to engine heat and hot oil or do I need to have it Jet-hot coated? Do just the outside or do it inside and out??
Thanks,
Mike

Powercoat should work. I have a powder coated front engine cover that's held up fine for nearly 2 years.
Just powdercoat the bottom of the pan, you don't want any of it on the matting surfaces. Should be easy to do with exception of the oil filter boss, might need to "sacrifice" a filter to keep that area clean during the coating process.
I like the jet hot idea too.

Now I need to see if I can get the Vegas powder coat shop to match the color of the CLT shop!
