Quick paint question? I'm doing the Berger panel on my car as we speak.
I've already done all the sanding, primeing, and have laid down my first coat of gloss black.
Heres my question: Should I wetsand with 1200grit betwen coats, after the final coat, or not at all?
I really want this to come out good, I'd really love to have no "orangepeal".

Primer needs to be sanded to 400 grit.
Dont sand between coats, apply 2 light coats first like 15 minutes apart then your heavy coats 15 minutes apart. Lightly wetsand with 1200, or preferably higher (1500, 2000) when it's good and dry. Get a bottle of "rubbing compound" and rub it with a 100% cotton (soft) towel and it will shine like show paint.
The key is not to get any drips, and not sanding through the paint.

Just to let you guys know, primer is for filling purpose only. Its a waisted step unless you have scratches or repairs to the panel. Even then you only need to prime the repaired erea, not the whole panel.
