I took delivery of my Mecham spoiler a couple of weeks ago. I'm doing some work on it so I don't have it painted yet.

Of the 2 cars pictured above, it looks like the bottom one has the 96-97 style brake light.

www.01pewterz28.com For more pics of the SS hood. It's very close to the OEM SS hood.

If I am not mistaken the 1" tall spoiler you might be thinking of is the SLP spoiler they offered on the Ultra Z package. It's sort of like the 96-97 SS spoiler but a taller lip.

ASCD is the company with the taller 96-97 SS spoiler. Some guy just sold one on cz28.com and he had many pics.

I assume the ASCD spoiler is the taller version of the stock 96-97 SLP spoiler. Maybe that photo sucks cause they're trying to hide the old style brake light:

Stock 96-97 spoiler:

I've got the Mecham on my Camaro (the one with taillight blackouts in the pics posted earlier). The spoiler seems to come up and out a little bit further than a stock SS one, but its very subtle.

Here are a few more angles of the Mecham spoiler.

That last pic is veeeery old, but it had a good side profile of the spoiler lip.

And on a side note, just because I know someone will mention it, the exhaust tips no longer stick out that far.

Thanks for the pics Mandrake. Seeing the spoiler on your car is what inspired me to buy one.

Here is the ASCD i believe. I think they are the only one that makes an aftermarket 96-97 style and ASCDs are the taller ones.

Mandrake that last pic you posted looks damn good the only flaw that i wished that wing had is the little body peices that the stock ss wing has connecting the hatch to the wing.

Sweet. Not a lot of people have this spoiler, so whenever I see someone wondering what it looks like, I try to chime in.

I think that if the spoiler were like that it would resemble the 98+ SS one too closely....the way they have it now is kind of a nice blend of the 93-97 & 98+ SS spoilers....
