02 Dash in 97 TA

Alright does anyone know if the air bags will work correctly in a 97. Putting a dash from a 02 in it. Also was told that it would not bolt up right. Is their any truth to that.

I am not to concered with the passenger side air bag, but the driver side is kinda a big deal to me.

Help from someone who has done it would be greatly appreicated.

Hey dude- aren't the 97's the same dash as an 02? I am 99.9999% sure they switched the interiors in the f-bodies over in 97 to the later style. Even tho the exteriors didn't change until 98...

Yep. 97 Has the same plug/pin as the earlier lt1 cars, but was laid out like the 98(ls1).

yeah, but the color is different
