CAMARO Door Guard Delete?

I know this mod is exceedingly popular for you Trans Am guys, but what about us Camaro owners? I'm wanting to delete those ugly door guards.

If you aren't sure what I'm talking about, check out these pictures:

Has anybody done this before? If so - can you type up a quick how-to? Hopefully there will not be any holes left in the doors afterwards! Thanks in advance folks.

i'm pretty sure it's the same as the Trans Am, just get it started then peel off the left over adhesive, goo-gone it, wash, and your done. There was an extensive write on it some where in here, but it's about 4-5 pages back by now i beleive.

Removed mine using basically the same process described by Jassick. I heated them up with a heat gun before pulling off of the car to soften up the adhesive some. The pain in the *** part was removing the adhesive left behind after the moulding is gone. Rolling it off the paint with my thumb proved to be the most effective method on my 1998 (old adhesive).

be sure to wear gloves when you try to roll the adhesive of the car, or youll probably get blisters. no, you WILL get blisters.

i removed mine with a heat gun. i blistered my thumb removing the tape tho lol
sorry about the huge pic. im at work and i can not shrink it :-(

i just did it last night, i used a blow dryer to heat the glue and fish line to get it started it, i never even thought about gettin blisters, it was real easy when the glue is warmed up, ill post up picks later, cause im also repaintin my calipers right now

If you put Jojoba oil on the glue when its warm it slides off with a terry-towel and won't leave scratches.

No blisters required.

Grocery stores (pretty much anyplace with 'owie' stuff).
I get the 'radical free' kind for $1.89 for a 5oz bottle, it goes a long way and won't hurt the paint but get any sticky goo off.
