But black does a good job of really cleaning up the appearance. It's one of the subtle things like the whistler mod where if you take a step back and look at the whole setup, something about the entire wheel/brake area just looks to be of a higher quality. That's what black gets you.
Paint the non-swept area of the brake rotors while you are in there. Rusty cast iron looks like poop.
This past weekend I blacked out the inside of my Chrome Zo6's, my rotors, and my calipers. On the rims it was for protection, appearance on the other two. Not so sure how well it will hold up, but I am VERY happy with how much better it looks.
