I dislike any body kits for camaros, even the factory one. Hoods looks good, but I'd never buy one because it's a firebird hood, not a camaro hood. Whats next, an ss hood for my trans am?

ok thats not a firebird hood. i would expect that someone would have poited out that its the Z style hood from suncoast motorsports. if you look at an lt1 with the ram air hood (which i assume is what everyone is compareing this hood to as it looks nothing like the ws6 hood from ls1 firebirds and trans ams), you would see that the lt1 ram air hood is more angled while the hood on the camaro is more rounded. the hood was made specificly for the camaro and no firebird version was ever made. if the ram air birds were never produced would that hood still be a problem for you guys???? stop this "oh god theres a hood on a camaro that looks kind of like a firebird hood...lets all bitch and and assume that it was designed after a firebird hood". this isn't my car, but damn it it looks nice. base it on what it looks like... not what its cousin cars look like.

To each their own, but to say it is not designed after a ws6 hood? come on..

at that angle, i agree they look really similar. but if you look up the suncoast hood, you'll see they are actually quite different. but your right, to each their own.

take the giant "camaro" off the grill and its a damn nice car. and well taken care of for a LT1! i like it!

and the orange one:
take off the clear taillights and big wing, and lower it and it would be very nice.

Ok, my friend JP got the the first of those hoods on his Red LT1 Z. They molded the hood off the firebird hood. The mold used to make that scoop is the same mold used to make the scoop they (Suncoast Creations) put on their Ram-Air Fire-bird hoods.

THIS IS A FACT, info comes straight from Florida where it was made. The first one was wavy as HELL BTW.

That hood WAS designed to be similar to the Firebird hood. You are comparing a stock WS6 hood to it. Get a pic of Suncoast Creations Firebird WS6 hood and compare it.

I like the color of that orange car, just not the body kit, spoiler and all of the other stuff on it. The SS hood looks nice. I would love to have my 67 repainted that color with gloss white stripes.

The hood, yes it's a WS6 hood but at least it's not the Raptor/LS1 style. The car looks clean, just not the most popular choices in parts but it looks good. If you did not know the hood was modeled off a Firebird you might see the car differently...

At the very least it was done tastefully (if you ignore the CAMARO on the front), I've seen much worse.

Here's a recent example. I found these pics online the other day, I guess the car just got painted:

Yeah, the color is great! Just get rid of the wing and body kit, buy a better fitting hood, paint the headlight buckets/grill area black (maybe the roof) swap out the tail lights, get better rims, and you'll have a nice car !
