Leather was standard but you could still order cloth as a no cost option. Obviously this only happened on build to order cars, and most likely not a whole lot of them.

My friend had a Red 1998 SS with a 6-Speed, hard roof, cloth interior and NO power windows.

Tell your friends leather is for pu$$ies who buy SS's for show, not go !

Then pretend you never said that when you toss that ugly $hit for some leather

My '02 SS has the cloth, also. Leather here in Texas can get EXTREMELY hot in the summer, so I'm fine with it.

leather isnt always your best option depending on where you are... when the weather gets REAL COLD the leather ends up freezing... not that it takes long for that big V8 to warm you up...

but when it gets HOT... dammit... the leather burns man..

im redoing the whole interior in my car and i originally wanted leather, but the disadvantages to it... damn...
