Wheel problem.
Wheel problem. I have a set of polished TT2s and I let them sit for to long dirty and now it has what looks like black stains on them. What is the best way to get rid of that?
I'd try a solution of hot (not scalding) water and car wash soap first (but Im assuming you've done that already...)
Next I'd go to a AutoZone or Wal Mart and look thru the wheel cleaners they have there (Look for Meguiars Hot Wheel Multi-Piece wheel wash. Its a non-alkaline, non-acid formula designed to safely remove grime, grit and brake dust from all polished/unpolished aluminum,powder-coated, multi-surface or anodized wheels - also safe on all aftermarket brake components including calipers and rotors). You'll might have to dilute the solution with some of them (like 1 part cleaner to 10 parts water) but you should be able to use that to get the majority of that grime off the wheels.
