Default Trans Am rear panel decal

I just bought the CE rear bird and trans am decal for the rear panel between the headlights. I have the original red ones in place in perfect condition but want to change it out. I have read that finger nail polisher remover works and i tried rubbing it with it for about 5 minutes and nothing happened, I do not want to wet sand it. Am i doing something wrong? please let me know how to get rid of it without wetsanding it. Thanks

Fingernail polish remover works but you have to rub hard. I just did mine last week and I had to rub it hard with a rag and polish remover. And as for the wetsanding, you will probably want to do it or else you can still see where the old bird and lettering is etched into the panel

nail polish remover remover worked for mine, then i used 1500 grit, then to 2000 grit sand paper to smooth out the panel

I just did mine yesterday. I wetsanded with 2000 grit sandpaper and then buffed with a PC and menzerna intensive and final polishes. It came out perfect.

Ok i got the nerve to wetsand with a 1500 grit piece of sandpaper from 3m and then i used a 3m rubbing scratch x compound thing and it brought it back to normal look and then i used meguiars plastic polish and it brought it to an awesome finish. Loved the all black look but decided to put the silver ce decal on and it looked even better in my opinion. thanks for all your help.
