Default painting help

can someone give me some insight on painting a side mirror, the steps i was goin to take are as follows
1- clean, primer
2- wetsand primer, apply another coat of primer
3- wetsand that layer
4- apply base coat
5- wet sand base coat
6- apply clear and then wet sand and buff that

is this correct or did i forget or add something i wasnt suppose to

Step 1: Scuff up any existing paint so primer will adhere.

ok, its a brand new unpainted mirror. should i still scuff it up?

Get yourself a red scuff pad(320 grit) or 320-400 grit sandpaper to scuff a little then primer, sand with finer paper(600-800 grit) and primer some more then proceed to paint. Primer should be very smooth.
