69' Z/28 Emblem Help

69' Z/28 Emblem Help So i bought some nice emblems off ebay, they looked fantastic... So i grinded off the 3 posts on the back of the emblem and started applying my double sided tape, well i went to see what they looked like before i peeled off the backing to the tape, and they didnt fit with the fender, so as i am i try to bend it a little.... Well the damn thing snaps in 2 
so i tried to heat up the other one in the oven and it gets discolored, i have some bad luck... Is there anywhere i can purchase these, that come pre-fitted for 98-02 fenders? or if someone could let me know how they did theirs, or how to bend them and shape them... Thanks

As far as I know no one makes them as a direct fit for our cars. When I put mine on I grinded off the tabs and put it on the ground and stepped on it a few times. They fit fine after that.
I did it this way. Won't break...... You need to cut the tape in strips with a razor knife. Put on first layer of 3m tape. Don't remove backing. Hold it where you want it and notice any gaps. Peel off backing in the gap areas and add a second layer in gap areas only. Hold it up again. When satisfied, peel remaining backing and press to fender where you want it.
