That is not that bad. Its pretty much what I do to my customer cars (and I do much more to mine), but I charge less and dont buy expensive gimiki crap. There are others that do the same (robinator & zaneo are two I know of). The video basically makes it sound like more. Also he is putting swirls in the paint by applying the wax by hand, do you really think your hand is softer than a microfiber?

Truthfully, I don't think he's all that great. He just uses really expensive stuff, that's all. And I don't like that hand-application for the wax either.

"Yeah, I made sure the paint was perfect down to the millimeter, but now I'm going to rub my calloused hands all over it."

You also have to remember what kind of cars hes detailing. How many inperfections do you think an exotic can actually have with less miles then my daughter puts on her bicycle?

Throw a 1994 F-body at him... weathered with over 100K on the ticker and I bet hed **** himself.

Yeah i dont see the point of going to teh trouble of using soft water, if your gonna buff the car anyway.

oh yeah lets use cold water, because lukewarm water is gona destroy the paint on a maserati?!?! i dont get it

a mild citrus degreaser? hes trying to say it was expensive? umm isnt that just Citrus Bug& Tar remover?

and um that really expensive wax was how much? didnt he say it was carnauba wax. that **** suxxx, it attracts dust particles, and it doesnt last long. wtf?

can ZaneO or someone clear this up for me

There's nothing wrong with a quality carnauba wax...just won't last as long as a sealant.

They said it lasted as long as 6 months.

And the water temp was probably 35c, not 35f.

I don't see why so many people are hating on this guy. I don't see too many others doing what he's doing.

He has marketed his business and made him self very successful.

I'm not hating on the guy, and I think he does amazing work. For what he does, he's worth every penny, especially that bit about rushing to a customer's car to wipe off the bird poop. If he pays those prices for the products he uses because they really work better than anything else, great, but if he pays those prices for products because they happen to be the most expensive (thus allowing him to charge more and become an "exclusive high end detailer"), then that's BS.

No doubt that wax he's using is amazing stuff, though.

I thought he was doing everything pretty normal until he started wiping the car with his hands as an applicator. I didnt have any sound with the video though. He probably makes a **** load of money for each of those cars. I would just be honored to get to detail one of those things Probably get a fat tip from the owner as well. But I am with zaneo, the man is making a living, and even if you think he is crazy, people are hiring him for his work.

I'd give anything to wash exotic cars. That guy is crazy for using his hands to wax the car, I guess people over their see it as a car massage though. The one thing I didn't see him use while washing the car, is two buckets. One for the soap suds, and one to ring the dirt in. This is always helpful to me to keep dirt out of the bucket, and prevent swirls. But I guess he's buffing and waxing anyways. Just sounds like he uses alot of expensive stuff, which is probably one reason he's considered the best, wherever he is..

Not really hating on him.. Im actually quite jealous. I just happen to think that when starting with the cars hes working on theres no real reason to go as far as he does to get a killer detail, the canvas is already flawless, or close to it. IMO he uses the high dollar stuff to attract the high dollar clientel. Nothing wrong with that... just another example of how $ feeds on $.

If we put one of you guys (Chup or ZaneO) with your top goodies (supplies) VS this guy and his big $ products... I bet the owner of the car, let alone anyone here, couldnt tell the difference.

I think flying to a foreign country to clean off sudden bird droppings might get expensive though. LOL

Mike, I wasn't talking about you or any specific person. I've seen this posted all over the internet and half of the comments are negative...that's what I was talking about

I don't agree with his products or processes 100%, but his clients are obviously satisfied, and he is now world famous.
