Default need detailing tips

Hi I need some advice on detailing. I normally just wash my car and wax it. This summer I want to make her look really good. can you guys tell me good claybar, polish and other products and maybe some advice. Also what is compounding i've been hearing about it but I don't know what it is. Also good brands of microfiber towels and shammys would be appreciated also.

I have heard about zaino but is it really worth the price. Also I did a search for Compounding and didn't find anything that really explains it.

Sonus clay works wonders

Meguiar's #80 to polish

Klasse AIO to really make her shine and slick

Wax or use Klasse SG

When using the Klasse products, use a SMALL amount. About a dime size drop per panel.

If your wanting a compound, start with 3M's Fine cut rubbing compound. Works really well, but it is a very messy product. Compound is just much more abrasive than a polish. You usually need quite a bit of heat to fully break them down as well, but I have had no problems with the 3M product and a PC.

First get a porter cable, then get some sonus pads, a clay bar, then go for the polishing compounds (I like Menzerna, but there are a boat load of others) then a top coat (Zaino, Menzerna, or something else)

^^^That's mine after the PC and Menzerna polishes and sealant

Basic paint detailing routine:

Wash
Claybar to remove embedded contamination
Wash/rinse
Polish with abrasive and/or cleaner as necessary to remove swirls, etc.
Seal/wax
