are the mirrors on the ls1 firebirds the same as the ls1 camaro's? i need a new one and ive talked to a scrapyard that can get me a replacement from a 2001 camaro. i have a 1999 firebird..

The mirror glass is the same measurments on mine. Now the internal parts, wiring might be different. The mirror housing assembly is different shape on Camaro's & Firebirds.

My 2000 Camaro SS I had to replace rigt side mirrow. GM only selly the entire housing assembly. I payed $125.00 US at Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet San Diego, CA. Painted for a case of bud light in bottles. From looking at the Camaro GM diagram you are probably going to have to at least get the entire mirrow assembly your mirrow housing plastic part might work. You are going to have to use a Firebird plastic mirrow housing. Part # for the Camaro mirrow with power option is:10279358. You might try crossing refrencing the # with a Firebird one from a GM dealership.
