There's nothing "rice" about that car, except for the odd looking phoenix on the side perhaps.

The front and rear vents could (and should) be functional - function is the anti-rice.

The front looks much smoother. It's almost certainly more clean, aerodynamically. And it's different too.

Definitely cool.

the kit doesnt really seem to flow with the body lines of the car. most of the pieces are kinda 'sharp', unlike the stock body pieces which kinda arch and curve more. know what i mean?

I have to agree. The look on that car is not a bird. I am not for it.

See, that's funny, because I was thinking the exact opposite. The body kit looks too busy to my eyes, which most body kits do with the lone exception of the factory Trans Am one, in my opinion. But I have a thing for graphics that are tastefully done, yet loud. Dunno if I'd ever put it on my OWN car, but I kinda liked the bird graphics.

And I definitely don't know if I agree with "function is the anti-rice". I know of numerous non-functional hoods and other devices (even on F-bodies... ) that look perfectly cool, and I've seen plenty of "functional" devices installed on ricers with sheet metal cutters, a piece of plastic and some double-sided tape, that could only be called rice. Much as I like function, I think "cool looking" (i.e. not stupid looking) is actually a better anti-rice.

Rice tries to look fast, while not being fast. It's posing. It's form with no hint of function. Much of the intakes and other functional looking items on rice is just there for show - either non-functional to begin with (one of my favorites is a PT Cruiser around here that has a fake dragster blower intake head glued to the top of his hood), or are rendered non-functional as part of the install.

However, even a functional wing or intake on a civic is still rice, because it is trying to look fast, but still isn't - it's still about the look, not the performance (function).

I like the front nose, its a mix between the awsome Lt1 style front mid section, and the bad *** LS1 style fenders, hood, and headlights..

I try to never insult someones work if it was done right but look at that rear view the Paint on the body kit and body dont even match. That is a HUUUGE pet peeve of mine. And if he wanted t do it RIGHT he probably should have molded the body kit in, that is what really makes a showwinner.
I dont like it cause all the small stuff but Im pretty sure id like it if it was done properly.

What is the first thing a ricer wants to do to his car? Put on an ugly body kit and add some ugly body graphics. That Trans Am is definately a ricer.......ugly!
