exaust tips??????

exaust tips?????? hey guys i was wondering about the tips on my car.
i have a random tech 3 inch exaust that was on the car when i got it and the tips look like crap.
it has single 3 inch tips on each side and there not lined up right like 1 sticks out more and mor tword the side and its anoying me.
how would it look if i hade the tips cut off then just put small turn down tips so you cant see them?
will it chang the sound at all?
i was also thinking about geting a magnaflow round muffler thats like a bulllet or just a single in sigle out magnaflow and run one turn down so you cant see it.
will it perform better than my curent set up? and how would that sound?

Cutting the tips off alone usually won't change the sound unless they are dramatically shortened or are currently rattling.
Turn downs look good on camaros with no ground effects. If you want to hear different exhaust setups check out LS1sounds.com
Check out the TSP true dual setup, it sounds good and turns down before the axle so you wont be able to see it at all.
