I have tried searching but can't seemed to find the answer. So thought I'd try here. The Mobil 1 oil cap and shock tower sticker that some LS1 F Bodies have on them, was that a GM or SLP option? Or is it something they just ordered afterward through GM?

I do not think it was a standard GM option for the fbody as I have a dealer order book from 2002 and it is not an option that I can see but you can buy both at Afterthoughtsauto a site sponsor.

Not factory on F bodies. They came on Vettes and people thought they were cool so the bought the cap and plaque and put them on their F bodies. I still haven't broken down and bought them for mine. SLP offered a Castrol and Quaker State synthetic package at different points. I think the 96-97 cars were Castrol and the 98+ cars were Quaker State optional synthetics.
