Default Has anyone tried this?

I have heard of people cutting out the t tops from hard top cars. Has anyone converted a t top to a hard top? Theoreticly how difficult would it be? I cant imagine it to be a crazy fabrication job because the 4th gens were all build with t tops in mind from the factory... right? so reinstalling a hard top cant be all that difficult...Does anyone know a shop that can do this?

A guy I know had one stripped and was using it as a race car. It looks like its only two stamped steel pieces at either end and a composite panel for the roof. Like I suspected they are all t top cars underneath! I think this can be accomplished with a donor car!

The roof pannel is glued down and would be hard to get off in one piece. It would make the job harder to use a donor car. I did some checking before and there are a few places that sell the hard top roof pannel and end rails.
