Installing new window motors????
Installing new window motors???? Is there anything I need to know about installing a new power window motor???? I heard some people saying that you need some sort of template for drilling out the rivets,,,, is this true.... I am going over my buddys house to install both of them tonight,,,, any help would be greatly appreciated.
assuming its the same as the lt1s take off the door panel and you can look at where the rivets are with an inspection mirror. take a 1/2 inch bit and drill where you think the rivets are. if done right you will expose the head and drill it out. check out shbox.com for a write up with pics

as far as following instructions, the install was ez.. pictures helped alot finding the rivets. I didnt run into anything that could "cut" me so I dont know about that, and about holding the window up with something, I did... but I didnt haft to. 3 boltz/nutz l8r... done!.. test it with the car ON, it'll move alot better, then just on aux.
