I'd love to have a hard-top WS6. That's one of the things I like about 93formto98WS6's car.

I converted my formula to a T/A and it cost me less than 800$. You can find good prices on parts in the for sale section and on ebay.

Only the inner steel parts are $15. That's only a small piece of the puzzle though. You have to fabricate another part of it that they don't sell. I believe the roof piece is about $600 from a dealer, but I have not looked at what the cost is for two years now. The rest of it is replacing and repainting it.

As far as getting a quote, you'll have to call Stenod at the shop to get one. 248 307 0056

I know this won't help much, but there is a company out there that makes metal t-top inserts for road racing. I don't know who makes them, but I did see them on the forum somewhere. Maybe if you did a search?

clip a roof off of a v6, i work in a salvage yard and we have two good hard top roofs, it wouldnt be anything a body shop couldnt handle, ive seen alot of roof cuts...then again you could always just buy a hardtop

I hated mine. They leaked, and I never took them out. I left the covers in from day 1 too.

i've heard the same amount of people wanting hardtops as well, wanting that smoother roof line look without the center peice

t-tops really clutter up the look on these cars, espcially on light colored cars.

Grass is always greener on the other side

I wanted a hardtop formula SO FREAKING BAD but could not pass up the deal on mine. If I could convert to a hardtop for less than a grand I would be all over that. I just love the look - so much smoother. It looks weird to have an all white car with part of the roof being black.

I'm assuming this was only for LS1s? One of my LT1 T/As was a hard top.

ive had hardtops and t-tops both. truth is, the added problems like leaks and rattles isnt worth havinh t-tops. From the beginning gm should have given f-bodies the targa option like a vette. I love taking my tops off its a blast but i only do it probably 10 times a year. I live in Ca so i do it year round i get more use than most people i know. I like the added security and the better overall integrity of a hardtop.
If you could find a hardtop formula, its such a rare car i couldnt see it worth converting to a trans am. And is there somewhere that sells the4 hardtop peice? Cause most the time you cant just take off the hardtop shell. Since its glued on, 9 out of 10 times it breaks and snaps. I guess you could always fix it. But all i see is a nightmare. Theres a place that sells carbon fiber hardtops for our cars but you have to rivet it on and take off the center support piece that the tops slide under. But i dont see why you couldn't rivet it down and put a few coats of bondo/primer/paint down. Any one remember who sells those things?
