I just got done talking with a local body shop regarding an aftermarket hood that I was thinking about getting for my car. I have been debating between VFN's SS hood or 3" Cowl SS hood(both are fiberglass). The main concnern that was brought up from the body shop was the fitment on the car and the ease of painting it. They said that they have run accross numerous hoods that fit like crap and you can really adjust the fenders that much because they are plastic too. They also said that every aftermarket place out there says that they are ready to paint but that they have run accross many that are a pain to work with.

what hoods have you guys gone with and have you had any issues with the paintability or fitment on the car?

any info is appreciated.
