Repainting a Car, What Color? Okay guys I went and saw a prospective car and the body is kinda rough and it was going to need like 5 or 6 panels redone so i decided I was just going to completely repaint it. Its mystic teal now and I was thinking of what color to go with. Whatever color I choose the car will be getting the Full CETA treatment with a black crossover and rear valence.
Right now Im really liking a bright red color, or the medium quasar blue color.
What color do you guys thinking. Now remeber this is an LT1 T/A. Any pics would be appreciated

Bright red is everywhere but it would be a good combo. I just prefer blue and medium quasar is a sweet color other similiar gm blues that are nice and along the same is the 1999 Fbody medium blue metallic or C5 corvette colors like electron blue or nassau blue would look killer on the car. Research these colors and see if there are some examples in your area. Seeing clean examples in person makes a real difference than looking at the internet or a paint sample too. All 4 of these blues are very bright and a good contrast to ceta treatment. Another bonus is that these 4 blues are relatively rare when compared to all the red blacks and silvers on these types of cars. Good luck on your decision and definitely post pics whenever this gets done. Also I hope you have a LT1 ws6 hood and decent set of wheels to compliment the whole package. I remember the months between my paintjob and getting new wheels it really detracted from the package. Checkout autotrader.com and go the advanced search so you can look at these examples I'm giving or anybody else suggests.
I say leave it the color it is. If you change it i think orange would be sick but i dunno if i'd wanna change away from that color you have. Also another cool color to consider is the "color changing" blue/green that chevy has that comes on suv's. Looks pretty good imo and i think would look awesome on a f body.

I would go with a green or blue to sort of stay true to the original color but at the same time make it alot better. I would do something metallic and deep like rally green or electron blue.
