Default !mudflaps, without taking the wheels off

So with a little craftiness I managed to get them off with the wheels on the car...

The first picture shows how I did it. One of them I had to cut and tear off. I won't be needing them anymore.

One more thing off my to-do list.

It's not just the rear wheels, its all four. And i'm not taking them off until I need to, which is when I do my brakes.

taking off the wheels is easy, dunno why you wouldn't do it...

also an easier way is to have a 1/4 inch drive socket wrench with I think a socket large enough to hold a bit heh

This seems like spending a hour doing something the 'easy way' instead of taking a few mins and doing it the right way. You can take a tire off in about 2 mins taking your time tops..

i knew they made mud flaps for our cars, i just didn't think they actually put any on the cars. of course, they also made roof racks for the hardtops.

Makes me want to take mine off, so i think i will tomorrow. I hate the way they look, but i kind of want to keep them for the protection of rock chips and such. But i will take them off for a while and see what happends. Im just gonna take the back wheels off, will be alot easier.

Like I said it's not just the back wheels, we are talking about all 4. And I think this way was easier than taking all 4 wheels off.

And yeah suspension is next so that wheel gap will be coming down a bit.

Also the pics make it look like theres more room than there is. A socket wrench wouldn't fit.

my friend ashley has mudflaps on the back tires of her T/A because it makes it 100 times easier to clean all the rubber from the track off...she bracket races her T/A so she's at the track a lot.

but i wouldn't have them on my car in my opinion they look like crap...so goodjob on the !mudflap and don't worry what everyone says, it really doesn't matter how you got them off, just that you got them off.

lookin good bro!

I took mine off today, just took the back wheels off. To get the front ones off, i just turned the wheel and you can access all of the screws. It does look alot better, but it was raining today, and the whole damn car got dirty. With the flaps on it just got a little dirty up the bumper, and some on the side of the door, but now the whole car is covered in sand and dirt all from driving in the rain. I suppose it didnt help that i was spinning the tires most of the time, but its kind of inevitable with the LS1 when its raining And yeah Spuds, i did a quick chop on my sig.
