From what i have been told, the overlays have a blue film in them, From my own gauges the red part shows up nice and brite with no color issues as all so i don't see a problem with the red on the t/a's.

If your car is modded enough to go 170, 180, or 200mph, you've problably spent enough money on your setup to justify a full setup of autometers with a 200mph speedo and dump the innacurate factory gauges. I've heard that factory speedos can be horrendously innacurate at speeds above 120mph in some cars. Don't know if its true for fbodies, but it wouldn't suprise me.

Sarcasm FTW!
I was just saying what all the haters said when I wanted them! GMS was great to deal with, the GP saved me over $120.00, and I love the way they look.

We've been doing a group purchase on the 200 MPH gauges for a while now.

Here's some cool looking set-ups I've seen so far. Everyone has their own opinions, but I think they look phenominal.
XtinctZ28's 200 MPH white gauge with red LED's. This should give an idea for all Trans Am owners if you want to keep the factory red look.
SmokedOutZ28's 200 MPH gauge with white LED's
Pictures we took in the garage with our '01 SS
bitchncamaro's 200 MPH gauge sweep video (calibrated into 99-02 gauges)

As others said, theyre more of a show thing, or for the WOW factor, as opposed to actually being practical.
The only thing I wish is that maybe they did something like in the Vettes where they started going to 20mph increments after 100 so the guage doesnt look overly cluttered, or having to skip numbers... like the 90, 110, 130... Not sure what the solution should have been, as Ive tried a few things just goofing around and still havent found the perfect solution. Heres a crude mockup of going to 20mph increments after 80 and moving a few numbers a bit, and it looks a little cleaner, but its still lacking a bit I think...
Or 20 mph all the way around with some different spacing on the numbers...
Not saying GMS did a bad job on these, because the quality seems awesome, and they look about as close to factory as youre gonna get. Not to mention the hell they had to go through to get them to calibrate accurately. I'm just throwing ideas out in my head

Unfortunately, that doesn't look like it's going to happen. If there were enough people that wanted it surely we would, but it doesn't seem that way.

How many people do you need in order for this to happen? Rough estimate in cost too. Thanks!
