Need Help Please My friend took his 99 T/A to get a ground effects kit installed. He payed $500 for the installer to go get the kit for him. After installation he was supposed to pay another $1200 (I think). Here's where I need help. This is positively the worst appearance work I have ever seen. The front air dam is falling off after the 20 minute drive home. The side skirts look as if they were painted with spray paint and the over spray is horrible... it's all cracked. All of the pieces look like they were attached the the car with caulk and never smoothed. My friend is at a loss for what to do. He is in the Marines and was home on leave when he put the car in for work and he just got the car back yesterday, and his leave is up today. It's impossible to get hold of the guy who did the work until tomorrow, so I'm trying to help my friend. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow or at least a link to a photo bucket site. Here's my questions:
1) Should I consider getting a lawyer involved?
2) Should I let this guy touch the car again?
3) Should we just cut the loss and go somewhere else?
4) Could this guy come after my friend for the remaining $1200?
5) Do we have any shot at getting the $500 back? The kit might be screwed and it's going to cost to fix the car so that it looks good again even once the kit is off.
