blackouts are illegal in most cases as well. I believe they say off road use only on them. Plus yes they ruin your tail lens after a while in the heat.

I copied this guy., but I two-toned mine....my main taillights are stock red, the clear/amber is now a slightly darker satin red. So you know where I stand....

its hard to pull off stock tail lights because my car is monterey maroon...black outs look much better with my color scheme anyways

Nite shades works well but it does fade after a while. I did my car and now they almost look like stock again. I cleared over them as well.

That looks real nice. Illegal but real nice. AT least in my state the code is written that you need to be able to see reflectors for 500 ft and the side markers need to be a certain color and seen as well.
