unit 213 gave me his extra set of chrome inserts, and the extra panel is free...so i should be out of pocket ~$3 for a can of paint and still keep my Gunmetal Panel as a spare.

picked it up saturday...sanded her down tonight an laid a coat down....just waiting on the chrome inserts in the mail....it was previously white, and needed some major cleaning.

Heck, the black Dick Harrell cars had their panels in satin black (at least looks like that from the pic, never saw it in person)...
Considering doing mine like this now, but I already have my stainless inserts in. It's going to be a bitch to get them back out and then try to re-cut some 3M double sided tape to fit so well on the backs of the letters.

It's going to be a bitch to get them back out and then try to re-cut some 3M double sided tape to fit so well on the backs of the letters.Just pry out CAREFULLY... then stick 3M tape on and THEN trim excess with sharp scissors (much easier and cleaner than trying to cut the 3M tape to fit beforehand).
