Tips on cutting interior?

Tips on cutting interior? Does anyone have any idea what the best way is to cut pieces from the interior? (ie as in for custom work). For example if im trying to cut a small rectangle in the area highlighted in red below, to install my scanmaster there...
i want it to be as neat and clean lookin as possible. Im worried using a knife or whatever object will get jagged edges?
any ideas and what do you guys use?

Any time I do something like this I watch ebay for awhile ahead of time and try to pick up a cheap spare. I know it is not practical for everybody but often trim/interior peices go for very low prices, if you have time to check every now and then you can get a spare real cheap.
Having said that you can't really go wrong with a dremel with jpr's process. It's probably most important to take the part off and get it secured in a good working position. You don't want the dremel grabbing and hopping all over the place.
