AN Fitting/Hose Recommendations...
Random thoughts...hoping for your comments/recommendations:
I saw a radiator hose one that hooks to a hose at one end, and is AN on the other. I'm thinking I should be considering having something welded on the radiator (aluminum rad).
I presume I could pull the pressed in heater hoses in the block and tap them, but what about at the heater end?
I'm also curious about the colors holding. My current setup was to use these red/blue aluminum anodized ends that slip over the hose and hose clamp. But after a few years, the color is fading. Does that happen on the anodized AN fittings? Or is it just because these things are cheap?
Any recommendations on good vendors to purchase from?
Thanks for your thoughts.

on the radiator, you'll need to specify that you want AN fittings on it when you order it. Generally -12 or -16 AN's for that. You can have someone modify the stock LS water pump with AN bungs as well or you can run a Meziere electric race water pump and order it with AN fittings to match what you have installed on the radiator. The downside to the race water pump is it doesn't have fittings for the heater core. There should be enough material on it though to drill/tap for AN to NPT fittings so you would then be able to hook up to your heater core. On the heater core end you will need to braze some tube to AN adapters on and this will allow you run AN hose between the heater core and wp.
The AN fittings should hold their color longer than the slip over ends. As far as vendors go, you're on your own but I'd be looking at Aeroquip, XRP or Fragola for the fittings/hose.
