Default braided hose cover

Anyone ever use this stuff on their LS1? I was thinking about redoing the looming but when I saw this I thought maybe it was my chance to do something different. I was thinking about doing pretty much the entire bay up with it. What do you guys think?

Heres a link to show ya what I'm talkin about....

I prefer the real Steel braid. You can tell the difference.

I agree and prefer the actual SS braided lines over the SS braid overlay for hoses.

I'm thinking you want to use this on your wire looms though? If so, remember, the SS braid is not slit along it's length as regular wire loom material so you would have to be able to slide the SS overbraid over the wires from the end. In some cases, that may not be possible as the wires in question have a large connector on the end and even though the SS overbraid will expand somewhat, even if it could expand enough to go over some of the large connectors, it would not go back to it's original diameter and would then look like rat's a$$

Also remember that quite often there are wires that branch out of the main loom at various places along the loom. With split loom it's easy to accomadate this - with a SS overbraid that is essentially one long tube - it would be virtually impossible.

I thought about doing this quite some time ago - but gave up on the idea because of the reasons I mentioned.

Good call, I had also just thought about the issues with the connectors and such. I might try it in some places and then just redo the loom in areas I can't get. By the way nice pics guys.

227hawk- I think you missed one wire that is not covered by the braided covers.

Man, thats look overdone for my tastes. My mentality is 'less is more'.

227 Hawk: is that true Braided line? I looked into something similar for my LS1, if its real braid that would get real expensive.

I don't think i missed one but maybe it's the hood cable i haven't relocated yet. It takes alot of bling to keep up with the underneath
of the car.

I never said it was stealth or for the faint hearted.

The whole thing is real, power steering hoses to vent lines. Next is the A/C hoses , Rad hoses and heater. Trying to decide between polished stainless 'hardline' or steel braid.
